About the event

We are welcoming in Cancer season and closing out Pride month.

Pride is a celebration and a rebellion all at the same time - a celebration of all that we are, and a rebellion against the systems that oppress us.

Cancers are creative, intuitive, loyal and emotional.  They flow like the tides of the ocean. The Chariot card comes from the Major Arcana in Tarot, which is the beginning of the deck, showing the main themes and situations of life.  While Cancers can be seen as emotional, Cancer signs have a set purpose in their lives, which is why they lead their lives despite changes or obstacles along the way. The Chariot represents their ability to move securely in their path.

This is a card about gaining victory, while also maintaining control of your surroundings.   The right amount of control and confidence that allows the charioteer to be victorious in any situation.

A card of strength, that makes it so you are able to overcome the obstacles that are in your way.  This also makes The Chariot is the perfect card for closing out Pride month.

We will explore this theme in this vinyasa type class, where participants will move mindfully and is open to all levels.

All participants will receive a free pre-roll 🍃

Class will be led by Carmen Rodriguez, a reiki practitioner, tarot reader, and yoga teacher. She has done trainings at Minka Brooklyn, Sacred Brooklyn, Sky Ting, and Flying Tree Yoga in Medelling Colombia.   Carmen also has been studying and practicing Tarot since 2016, starting with readings for friends and family.  In her private sessions and classes, she also likes to include elements of astrology and sound healing. She also is the creator of Brown Girls Smoke, a podcast highlighting women of color in cannabis, and can be found on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
